Foreigners in Gili Trawangan will be raided

The government of North Lombok regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), is planning to raid foreign nationals who work in the area of the three Gili (Gili Trawangan, Gili Air and, Gili Meno). 

The curbing was done especially to foreign workers who do not have work permits, including not having permission to stay in the area of the three dyke. Since January 2014 to May, the government has deported a number of foreigners from NTB. The foreigners who are deported are mostly due to exceeding the residence permit. They were deported for violating residency in Indonesia, one of them foreigners from Australia who worked on Gili Trawangan. 20 foreigners who have been deported for abuse of a residence permit. They come from a number of countries such as Australia, Germany, Sweden, Spain, Italy and Malaysia.

The Government guess, the number of foreign workers who do not have permission, as workers and residence permit in the three dyke, the numbers are expected very much.

In addition will be raiding foreign workers, it also will perform an audit of buildings along the shoreline in the three dyke, for having violated building permits over the shoreline. However, before the plan was carried out, the government will be provide tolerance to socialize prior to the building owner.

Some days are sold, eight foreign nationals who were in East Java caught a foul. They were immediately deported and banned from coming back to Indonesia.
