A wonderful afternoon, the beach in Singaraja, the former largest port in Bali

The beach in Singaraja, Buleleng, Bali, is the most famous beach in Buleleng. This beach is the first time a major port and very crowded. Built by the invaders and the previous government, to build economy in Bali region.

But now, the beach is located in the city of Singaraja is no longer a port of the vessel, because there have been silting in the sea, so it may not be used to berth large ships. The port has become a tourist attraction and a hangout of local people.

During the afternoon, the former harbor in the city of Singaraja is always visited by local residents, also by travelers who happened to be passing at the venue. When the afternoon is also a cool place for fishing by hobbyist.

Former bridge pier is now converted into restaurants and places to relax. Most are managed by the local government. From the shallow sea floor, the restaurant built over the water. Everyday ocean waves at the beach is very small. One could even say very quiet.

There is a large statue in this place. This statue has been there since many years ago, and became an icon for the city of Singaraja. The statue was raised hands pointing towards the sea. Do not know for sure the meaning and significance of the statue, why the statue was pointing to the sea fig. The statue was also holding a stick with a shape like bamboo, with Indonesian flags flutter.

Under the statue is a cool place to hang out. People would sit and look out to sea. Sea view with sunset during the afternoon. View of the sunset on the beach is very beautiful. Despite being in the middle of the city, but the atmosphere of the beach is very quiet and comfortable.
