Attractions in Karangasem Bali

Karangasem has a natural attraction which is amazing and still very beautiful. Most of the attractions in Karangasem natural landscape. Because most of the area is mountainous and hills, and the sea.


Karangasem is a regency in Bali which is located in East Bali. Regency located in the eastern tip of Bali. This regency is located at the foot of Mount Agung, Bali's highest mountain. This Regency also received the title as the region with the highest poverty in Bali. Because in the barren area with springs very little. Agriculture in this region so very little.

Although Karangasem is regency with the highest number of poor people, but the regency has many interesting and beautiful attractions. Attractions in with the natural landscape and terraced rice fields are very beautiful. Terraced rice fields is one of the characteristics for the natural beauty and culture of Bali.

Karangasem also has beaches and natural attractions which are very beautiful underwater. Many divers from abroad to visit the sea in Karangasem, to see the beauty of the underwater world.

The following are the attractions in Karangasem very famous and beautiful:

1. Besakih Temple
Besakih Temple is a temple complex located in the village of Besakih, Rendang district Karangasem regency, Bali, Indonesia. It is the largest temple or the parent of a temple in the island of Bali. Besakih Temple complex consists of many temples. Located on the slopes of Mount Agung, at an altitude of 1000 meters above sea level, and is approximately less than 60 km to the northeast of the city of Denpasar Bali.

2. Village Iseh
Natural scenery in this village has been known since decades ago. Mount Agung is visible from a distance with a valley, a river flowing with crystal clear water in the midst of the green rice fields, is place for traditional farmers to work, is something worth seeing.

3. Tirta Gangga 
Tirta Gangga is a former royal palace. The park is famous for its water palace, owned by Karangasem kingdom. Tirtagangga consists of three complexes. The first complex lies at the very bottom, there are two ponds and fountains. The second is the center of the complex, there is a swimming pool. In the third section, the third complex, is the resting place of the king.

4. Bukit Jambul 
Bukit Jambul is located at the border between the village and the village Pesaban Nongan, which is included in the District Rendang. 7. Taman Ujung
